Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present the first revision of our top 50 Detroit Lions of all-time. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced their 25 Semi-Finalists for their Class of 2020. Without further ado, they are: Steve Atwater:  Safety: Denver Broncos 1989-98, New York Jets 1999.  This is Atwater’s ninth straight time as a Semi-Finalist, and he was a Finalist last year.   Carl Banks:  Linebacker: New York Giants 1984-92, Washington Redskins 1993, Cleveland Browns 1994-95.  This is the first time that Banks has been named as a Semi-Finalist, despite being eligible since 2001.  Banks won two Super Bowls with the Giants. Being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is the highest honor for a basketball player anywhere in the world. 44 years after he was named to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Bill Russell finally accepted his Hall of Fame ring.   In a tweet, he said that “in ’75 I refused to be the 1stblack player to go into” the hall as he “felt others before me should have that honor.”  He referenced Chuck Cooper in that tweet, who was chosen earlier this year.  Cooper was the first African-American to play in the NBA in 1950. It is another big day for us at Notinhalloffame.com! Following the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s announcement of their Finalists, our Fictitious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is announcing its Finalists for the 2019 Class. This will be the fifth full class. Like in previous years, the opening round began with over 500 Fictional Musicians which was reduced to 40 Fictional Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Semi-Finalists.  The top 15 vote getters advanced to the Final Round.
