Washington State University has announced the inductees for their 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame Class. The six-person class is: Rod Commons: Commons worked in administration at WSU from 1976 to 2007. Josephat Kapkory:  From Kenya, Kapkory would win multiple titles representing WSU in long distance running. Ryan Leaf: Leaf may have flamed out in the NFL in epic proportion but as a Cougar he took the team to the 1998 Rose Bowl and finished third in Heisman Trophy voting and he would throw for 7,433 Yards and 59 Touchdowns.   Stephanie Papke: Papke played on the WSU Women’s Volleyball team from 1994…
In a self-penned article to the Undefeated, Darren Collison has announced his retirement from the NBA at the age of 31. He cited his faith as a reason to leave and to help those less fortunate. Dee Dee Bridgewater:  Bridgewater has won Grammys and Tonys and her career has spanned over 40 years. A major retirement has just taken place in the world of hockey as Florida Panthers’ Roberto Luongo has announced that he is hanging up the goalie equipment. We have another retirement in the world of sports to discuss as Washington Capitals Defenseman, Brooks Orpik has announced his retirement. Born in San Francisco, Orpik would play at Boston College where in 2001 he would help the Eagles to the 2001 NCAA Championship.  Orpik was a defensive stalwart, generally staying in his end of the ice and he took that set of skills to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he was drafted 18thOverall back in 2000.  As a Penguin, he helped the team win the 2009 Stanley Cup.  He would sign with the Washington Capitals before the 2014/15 season and he would again…

The Class of 2019 is: Eric Anderson, Men’s Basketball (1989-92):  Playing at Power Forward, Anderson was a Hoosier for 131 Games, and would score 1,715 Points and 826 Rebounds. Kay Burrus, Field Hockey & Women’s Basketball Coach (1962-76):  Burrus pulled double duty coaching both field hockey and women’s basketball for Indiana for over a decade. The 10 Finalists are: Chris Bjornin: From Sweden, Bjornin has earned $5.7 million on the tour winning two WSOP Gold Bracelets.  He is eighth all-time on the cash list and is second all-time among Swedish born players.  Bjornin has none WSOP Main Event cash-ins.
