The Red Wings added a plethora of Russian talent, and Kozlov was part of the famed "Russian Five," a situation which allowed him to thrive. The Left Wing had another 73-Point year (1995-96) and later helped Detroit win back-to-back Stanley Cups (1997 & 1998).
Kozlov scored 415 Points for the Red Wings, with his run ending when he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres for their disgruntled Goalie, Dominik Hasek.
