gold star for USAHOF

Glen Sather

Glen Sather
It seemed fitting that the year after Al Arbour got inducted, that the Head Coach of the next great dynasty would get in.

Glen Sather had a ten year career as a player in the NHL, but it was when he left the ice as a player and took over the Edmonton Oilers of the WHA as a head coach that his Hall of Fame career truly began.  It was Sather who not only coached the Oilers, but acted as their General Manager and acquired the talent that made Edmonton a great dynasty.  Sather would win five Stanley Cup Rings as either a Coach or GM (or both) and would cement his place as one of the great evaluators of talent.
