Moore’s second Art Ross Trophy saw him set the (since broken) single season points record by eclipsing the legendary Gordie Howe. His complete play was a major asset to those championship Habs teams in both the regular season and he twice led in Playoff scoring. Moore’s injuries caught up with him and he retired in 1963. He came back twice; once with Toronto and the second time with the expansion, St. Louis Blues. Neither was particularly effective and it essentially delayed his induction to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
