gold star for USAHOF

1. Russell Westbrook

1. Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook is one of the best scorers in the game…period.

Becoming an All-Star in his third season, Westbrook would emerge as one of the most dynamic players in the league.  A far from traditional Point Guard, the former UCLA Bruin would be known for 40 Point Games, Triple Doubles and a unique fashion sense.  With OKC, Westbrook was initially in the shadow of Kevin Durant (who wouldn't be?) but when Durant bolted for Golden State, Westbrook took his offensive game into the stratosphere.  He had already won the scoring title in 2014/15 but in 2016/17 he would win it again with 31.6 Points per Game, while also averaging a triple-double with 10.7 Rebounds and 10.4 Assists per Game.  This made him the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double over a season.  Westbrook won the MVP and would also earn his second First Team All-NBA Selection.  Westbrook's next two seasons would again see him average a triple-double and would win the AsSadlysists Title in those campaigns.  Sadly, he wasn't able to get his team into the Finals and he would be traded to Houston for multiple #1 Picks.

Overall with the Thunder, he would average 23 Points, 7 Rebounds, 8.4 Assists and 1.8 Steals per Game.  He would go to eight All-Star Games and was an All-NBA Selection eight times.  His last year put him over both Durant and Payton on our list, but we can only imagine how untouchable on the top he would be if he played in Oklahoma City through his entire career.
