How can you not love the story of Sam Mitchell?
It took Mitchell four years to make the NBA and once he made it he hung around for thirteen years, ten of which were with the Timberwolves over two runs. Mitchell was not the most talented player on his team, but was a very cerebral player who would twice lead the league in lowest Turnover Percentage. It did not surprise devoted fans and teammates that he would become a coach in the National Basketball Association.
