Kevin Garnett WAS THE Minnesota Timberwolves. Now granted, he would win an NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics, but he was with the Timberwolves in his prime and made the team a must-watch across the NBA. Garnett carried the team to eight consecutive playoff appearances and the legendary trash-talker excelled at both ends of the court, dunking on you in one moment and blocking you the next.
With the Timberwolves, Garnett would be a three-time First Team All-Pro, a two-time league leader in Win Shares, a three-time league leader in VORP, and a six-time First Team All-Defensive Selection. He would also be named the NBA Most Valuable Player in the 2003-04 Season.
Growing weary of Timberwolves ownership's failure to build a team around him, Garnett sought, and received a trade, where landed in Boston and immediately won a Title in 2008.
Thankfully for Minnesota fans, Garnett elected to finish his career in the Gopher State.
Garnett entered the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020 and was chosen for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
