The longtime Shortstop for the Detroit Tigers, Alan Trammell spent almost as much time on the Hall of Fame ballot as he did with the Tigers.  The career Detroit Tiger was the MVP of the 1984 World Series; a team that had one of the best seasons in modern history.

Trammell was the MVP runner up in 1987 and was a four-time Gold Glove winner and had every necessary tool to be a major star in Baseball.  He also had the misfortune of playing at the same time as Cal Ripken Jr., who had he not existed we might have been able to open up this article with “Hall of Famer, Alan Trammell” when we first wrote this piece.  He would eventually get inducted when the Veteran's Committee selected him in 2018, two years after the Tigers retired his number 3.

When his career ended, he had 2,365 Hits with 185 Home Runs, 1003 RBIs, and a .285 Batting Average.
